Larry Baldock and Sheryl Savill have launched their Petition for a CIR (Citizens Initiated Referendum) on two questions concerning the criminalisation of smacking as part of good parental correction, and the need for the Government to give urgent priority to understanding and addressing the real causes of child abuse in NZ.
